Sweet Bliss

Time flies by so fast.  Life is going great for our little family.  Josh is busy wrapping up this semester.  He is planning to graduate Spring 2014 with his Bachelors/Masters.  He is such a hard worker and a wonderful husband.  I am so grateful for his love and care.

Here is a little info about my hubby, he won't mind...right?  He loves to tease me and tickle my toes, even though he ends up getting kicked in the midst of it (I can't help it, I'm too ticklish!)  He asks me what I'm wearing every Sunday, so that he can match me.  He takes me out on dates often. When I cry he wipes the tears from my cheeks and whispers, "you're leaking".  Josh washes the dishes before they pile up in the sink.  He replaces the toilet paper so that it unravels 'upside-down' which seems to drive me crazy.  He works on class projects with 4 computer screens open at the same time.  He hides my chocolate when I'm not looking.  He buys candy that has nuts or coconut just so that I don't gobble it up.  He re-folds his laundry to perfection after I hurriedly stuff them on his shelf.  He insists that I read stories to him, even when I can barely keep my eyes open.  Josh loves studying the Gospel with me at home and in Institute classes.  We team up to chase little Sunbeams around on Sundays.  Josh has a big heart and child-like faith.  He is strong in mind and spirit.  I am so grateful for such an amazing influence in my life.

I am excited for my next little adventure that is just around the corner.  I am moving up to Second Grade next year.  I will most likely have a majority of these adorable kiddos move up with me.  My class cheered when I told them the news last week.  I am living my dream job.

Life is wonderful.  Marriage is fantastic.  What more can I say?

    You made me laugh! I love you and Josh so much! I am so grateful for my son-in-law with child like faith! I am so grateful that he treats you with love and respect and wipes away your tears! You both bring me happiness and joy! I love you!!!!

On Wednesday, May 18th, I woke up with a sore throat.  I didn't have much of a voice either.  Josh got Samuel up and mentioned that Samuel had been coughing a bit.  I thought to myself, 'here we go again'.  I swear we haven't been able to catch a break from sickness or injury this year. While I was getting ready for the day, Samuel walked into my bathroom.  He started coughing a bunch and then choking.  I didn't know that he had shared a doughnut with Daddy right before he walked in to see me.  The doughnut had walnuts sprinkled on top.  I thought he was about to throw up (I didn't realize he was choking on a walnut).  So I immediately held him over the sink.  After not breathing for a short second or two, he coughed out a small bit of food (aka. the walnut).  The moment was tense, but I was relieved when he was breathing and acting normal again.  Our morning routine continued and I quickly forgot about the intense choking mo...

Growing Up

If you were to ask me what I constantly struggle with... it is CHANGE .   I find comfort in schedules, routines and expectations that periods of my life have to offer.  Whenever I turn the page to a new chapter in my life, I am faced with a great sense of insecurity and hesitation.  Now that I am crossing through a new threshold, I've realized that I still haven't grown up. I taught for two years and just finished my last day of school on the 7th.  I am leaving something behind that I am very passionate about... TEACHING .  It is hard for me to let go of the known and step out into the unknown.  I was very prayerful about my decision to become a  mommy and have the time to stay at home.  This is what I have always wanted and I know that it is the right decision for our family.  But it doesn't make the transition easy.  I put so much work and time into teaching and let's be honest... a whole lotta heart.  I spent our last few min...

Highlights & Lowlights

2017 was beautifully orchestrated with many highs and lows.   Josh: Grew out his facial hair and he loved it. Continued working at Colmek. Continued in his church calling as the Assistant Financial Clerk. Hiked to the peak of Mt Timpanogos. Ran a Half Marathon Josh is the glue to our crazy family.  Sarah: Had our 3rd baby boy. Celebrated 10 yrs since graduating from Viewmont. Continued in my church calling as Primary President. Organized a Fundraiser Yard Sale with two days notice.  We raised just over $2k for our close friends. Experienced my 1st pedicure.  Started my 3rd year teaching preschool in my home.  Fine-tuned my ability to plan meaningful, but cheap family activities.
